    Birdville ISD Board of Trustees Take Stand Against Unjust Accountability System 

    On Friday, September 22, the Birdville ISD Board of Trustees unanimously voted to express their unwavering support for the district's dedicated staff and their commitment to student success. In response to concerns surrounding the current A–F Accountability System, established by the Texas Legislature, the Board stands united in their belief that the system's assessment of schools is fundamentally flawed. 

    The Commissioner of the Texas Education Agency (TEA) holds significant authority in assigning ratings through this system. However, the Commissioner's plan to retroactively implement a new system for the 2022–23 school year, without finalization or proper notice, has raised serious apprehensions. This decision could potentially impact enrollment, property values, and resource allocation. 

    PÕ¾ÊÓƵ is proud to join districts across Texas in filing suit against the Commissioner, advocating for fairness, transparency, and due process in the educational system. The Board affirms their commitment to championing the rights of students, staff, and the community.
