    Dear Birdville ISD Parents and Guardians, 

    I am thrilled to welcome you back to a new school year, brimming with hope, excitement, and the promise of bright days on the horizon. As we collectively forge ahead, it fills me with joy to witness students returning to our schools. They are ready to embark on yet another year of learning, growth, and connection. 

    In this first week of the school year, I've had the privilege of seeing our hallways and classrooms come alive once more with the energy and enthusiasm of our students and staff. They are seamlessly reestablishing routines, forming new friendships, and reuniting with old ones. This experience underscores their remarkable resilience and your unwavering support, reminding us of the power of community in creating a positive and enriching environment for our children. 

    I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your understanding and patience as we roll out a new student information system, Focus, this year. The true measure of any significant software change becomes apparent when it is put to the test by thousands of users! We have been hard at work addressing issues and refining the system to ensure it serves our students, families, and dedicated staff seamlessly. Your feedback and collaboration are invaluable throughout this process, and I thank you wholeheartedly for joining us as partners in your child's educational journey. 

    As we venture into this school year, let's continue nurturing a community built on patience, support, and understanding. With you, we are a united family … the Birdville ISD family … collectively dedicated to more than 22,000 students! Thank you for entrusting us with your child's education. Together, we are poised for a remarkable year, marked by growth, achievement, and unforgettable experiences. I eagerly anticipate our partnership in shaping a wonderful learning journey throughout ’23–’24!

    Estoy encantada de darles la bienvenida nuevamente a un nuevo año escolar, lleno de esperanza, entusiasmo y la promesa de días brillantes en el horizonte. A medida que avanzamos colectivamente, me llena de alegría ser testigo de ver estudiantes regresando a nuestras escuelas. Están listos para embarcarse en un año más de aprendizaje, crecimiento y conexión. 

    En esta primera semana del año escolar, he tenido el privilegio de ver nuestros pasillos y aulas cobrar vida una vez más con la energía y el entusiasmo de nuestros estudiantes y personal. Están restableciendo rutinas sin problemas, formando nuevas amistades y reuniéndose con las antiguas. Esta experiencia subraya su notable resiliencia y su apoyo inquebrantable, recordándonos el poder de la comunidad para crear un ambiente positivo y enriquecedor para nuestros niños. 

    Quiero extender mi más sincero agradecimiento por su comprensión y paciencia mientras implementamos un nuevo sistema de información para estudiantes, Focus, este año. ¡La verdadera medida de cualquier cambio significativo de software se hace evidente cuando miles de usuarios lo ponen a prueba! Hemos trabajado arduamente para abordar los problemas y perfeccionar el sistema para garantizar que sirva a nuestros estudiantes, familias y personal dedicado sin problemas. Sus comentarios y colaboración son invaluables a lo largo de este proceso y les agradezco de todo corazón por unirse a nosotros como socios en el viaje educativo de su hijo. 

    A medida que nos adentramos en este año escolar, sigamos fomentando una comunidad basada en la paciencia, el apoyo y la comprensión. Con usted, somos una familia unida ... la familia de Birdville ISD ... ¡dedicados colectivamente a más de 22,000 estudiantes! Gracias por confiarnos la educación de sus hijos. Juntos, estamos preparados para un año extraordinario, marcado por crecimiento, logros y experiencias inolvidables. ¡Anticipo con entusiasmo nuestra asociación para dar forma a un maravilloso viaje de aprendizaje a lo largo del 23–24!
